1 Introduction
Buzz is a Telegram-based AI personal assistant operated by Buzz Assistant, a independently operated service based in Texas, USA. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user of the Buzz service.
By using Buzz, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2 Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide the Buzz service:
- Telegram user ID — used to send and receive messages via the Buzz Telegram bot
- Name and email address — collected at Stripe checkout to identify your account
- Message content — every message you send to Buzz via Telegram, used to generate AI responses
- Google account data — if you connect Google: calendar events, email metadata and content, and contacts, accessed via OAuth with your consent
- Financial data — expense entries, income figures, savings goals, and stock watchlist symbols you provide
- Location — city or region name, used only for timezone resolution and local context
- Payment and billing information — handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers or payment credentials
- Usage data — message timestamps, last-active date, and subscription status
3 How We Use Your Information
- To deliver the Buzz Telegram assistant service and respond to your messages
- To process your messages through AI (Anthropic Claude API) to generate responses
- To sync with your Google Calendar and Gmail if you have connected your Google account
- To manage your subscription and billing via Stripe
- To send messages via the Telegram Bot API
- To provide your daily briefing and scheduled notifications if enabled
- To improve service reliability and troubleshoot issues
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
4 Third Parties We Share Data With
We work with the following third-party services to operate Buzz. Each receives only the data necessary for their function:
- Telegram (telegram.org) — messaging delivery; your Telegram user ID and message content pass through Telegram's servers to deliver assistant responses.
- Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing; receives your name, email address, and billing information to manage your subscription.
- Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI processing; your message content is sent to the Claude API to generate assistant responses.
- Google (google.com) — only if you connect your Google account; we access Calendar, Gmail, and Contacts via OAuth to provide calendar and email features.
- Railway (railway.app) — cloud hosting and database infrastructure; all stored data, including your profile, messages, and financial records, resides on Railway servers.
- Formspree (formspree.io) — waitlist form submissions only; receives email addresses entered on the marketing site waitlist form.
5 Data Retention
- Your data is retained for as long as your account is active
- You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing our support address
- Upon a valid deletion request, we will remove your data within 30 days
- Stripe and Google retain their own copies of data per their respective privacy policies
6 Minors
Buzz is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created a Buzz account, please contact us and we will promptly delete the account and any associated data.
7 Telegram and Messaging
- By subscribing, you agree to receive messages from Buzz via Telegram
- Message content you send is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses
- You may stop receiving messages at any time by cancelling your subscription or blocking the Telegram bot
8 Your Rights
As a user in Texas or elsewhere in the United States, you have the following rights:
- Access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — you may request that inaccurate data be corrected
- Deletion — you may request that your data be deleted
- Messaging opt-out — you may stop receiving messages at any time by cancelling your subscription or blocking the Telegram bot

9 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via Telegram. Continued use of Buzz after changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
